Yes, you read right the long fabled G/S/C remakes are a reality so this is great news for us. What this means is that Misty is going to appear in a new official game for the first time since Fire Red and Leaf Green and I think has a high chance of appearing in the anime again at some point next fall most likely. This site confirms the release of the games (note: its in Japanese so most of you might need a translator of some sort) www.pokemon.co.jp/info/game/g090508_01.html the confirmation of this was surprising since normally games are announced on a show in Japan known as Pokemon Sunday Showcase.

Yeah. That was the original plan. But they changed it.

There is no information other than the tentative release date in Japan right now. Maybe later on this week some more will be known about the games.

I don't know about the remakes, but one thing I know for sure and it is that when it comes to pokemon, Japan is at the top of the hierarchy, so when a game comes out it will be announced in Japan first- since serebii is not controled directly by the Japanese fandom, there is no need to assume the gossips on it are true.

lol I don't go to pokeani because the site is in Japanese and my translators are simply crap and not capable of translating a simple piece of Japanese without making a thousand errors xD

Then learn japanese.

That is a case of "easier said than done" especially since Japanese is one of the hardest languages in the world to learn since you essentially have to learn to read all over again. There are three writing systems used in the Japanese language and one of them has well over a thousand characters. It can take YEARS for a native English speaker to learn Japanese not months, even with the aid of systems like Rosetta Stone.

And besides which, even IF we did learn Japanese in a matter of months, Pokeani isn't really a good source for your claims, especially after a little incident where the 80th and 81st episodes of Diamond and Pearl were claimed to be a fight between May/Dawn and Wallace in a final round of the Wallace Cup, and an episode involving Brock and a Mamoswine, respectively (which, BTW, turned out to be complete fakes.)

I can quite happily say that all the evidence now out points to alex being wrong about Kanto being omitted. Kanto has been confirmed to be in Heart Gold and Soul Silver just like it was in the original Gold and Silver games. More information has been released along with a complete map showing both Kanto and Johto as available regions in that game but no info about mini-regions as of this time.
