Hey guys, when I was going to my local Blockbuster Video Store for a visit, I noticed something peculiar: Take a look at this card stand. Notice anything? don't see it? How about looking more closely? Misty is on there, when they could have easily tried to replace her with Dawn or at the very least May. I asked an employee at Blockbuster about when she got the display on the stand, and she said it was within the last year. Even AFTER Misty had been removed, they didn't seem to try and update it. Therefore, removing her was indeed a big mistake, as she is crucial to the show/franchise in the very same way Ash is claimed to be. Did any of you encounter similar stands with Misty on it at your local Blockbusters? If so, we might use these to our advantage to bring her back.

I think its a case of reusing stock art but it does prove that the people who are saying that "The TV show is just fine" and also "Its better than it was before" are dead wrong given that this is the case. As I have shown its doing pretty poorly in Japan, just barely making ANN's top ten anime list if at all. Not quite the worst it ever has but pretty close and others tell me that they have viewer retention gimmicks going on now as what is most likely a desperate attempt to keep people watching and to keep the ratings stabilized. The viewer retention thing is failing, the ratings are STILL extremely unstable and vary from week to week while being consistently low every time.

Yeah, it probably was a case of reusing stock footage, but then again, stock footage of May and especially Dawn is also available so they could have easily used that. And I know about that. I even looked on ANN sometime ago, and the highest place it ever got was first place in top ten most overrated shows. Even then, given the nature of the list, that means it ranks the worst. That's probably the only poll where it NOT being on it is actually a good thing. I'm still a bit surprised that no one seems to think it's doing terribly. I mean, even when Adamant semi-agreed with you (meaning, he agreed with you about the whole Ratings being significantly poor for the show.), people still seem to not get it.

This made me giggle like a five year old, to say at least. Seeing Misty again in a place you are not likely to see her. Old memories coming out of the back of my head. Funny.
Anyway, I agree that the show is doing, well, poorly. But perhaps the proof that it is not doing any worse than that is that the show still exists.
