Hi! Well, my name's texaslonghorn and I'm new to this site (though I've already posted a story in the fanfic section if anyone is interested). I'm also a member at FanFiction.Net right now, where I am a fairly popular author because of my ongoing pokeshipping fic "A New Journey".
Anyway, because I'm a pokeshipper, I'm a major proponent of Misty's returning to the show. This site is pretty awesome from what I've seen, and I'm hoping that I can find a way to increase its popularity while I'm here since, as I said, I have a lot of fans on FF.net who'd probably love this place!
Oh, also, I am from Texas, but am currently living in Italy until I graduate high school (class of 2010!). Consequently, I'm kind of unable to get great internet where I am residing, so if you write me and it takes a few days for me to reply, please don't take it personally.

Welcome to the club, TexasLongHorn.
I'm glad you support wanting to bring Misty back. It's a shame that places such as SPPf and BMGf are quite intolerant of Misty (I can't even use Misty as an example in regards to something without people attacking me, even if the example has absolutely nothing to do with bringing Misty back, and that's not even getting into the Hall of Shame in regards to the latter, which I was sent to when I tried to help the BMGf Misty fans bring back Misty by proposing a boycott [The writers did not respond to our letters or our petitions, and I even mentioned that a mass boycott of the franchise would be the consequence in my letter to the Pokemon Company. How else was I supposed to get their attention?], and yet some members of the Misty club, especially Kasumi, the co-founder and one of the mods on that site, had placed me in the Hall of Shame, where the experience felt like I died and was sent to Hell. On SPPf, they even closed down the Fourth Misty Club, and going by the search engines, a Misty Club hasn't been made since then. I was once banished from SPPf, alledgedly for starting a Flame War, even though the SPPf mod Rave was actually the true culprit responsible.
Misty really needs to come back, if only to start fixing what went wrong with this world seeing how Female [anime] stereotypes are running rampant.
I will say, however, that I don't believe in Pokeshipping. I don't have anything against the ship, I just find it hard to fathom love if it isn't in first sight. You pretty much have Disney to thank for that.
Well, welcome to the club, anyways. BTW: you said you're a FF.Net member? I have a question to ask of you. How do you submit Fanfics on that site? I'm a member myself, but I don't quite know how to submit FFs yet.

Hello there. Welcome to the Waterflower world. As anyone would immediatelly notice, my name says pretty much everything about me. I'm a pokeshipper and I'm old (old for a pokemon fan of course). I've been a fan of pokeshipping since I was 8 years old. When I entered my teenage years I stopped watching pokemon and came back to it only recently- about 2 or 3 years ago. I realised that you're a pokeshipper for life. And since (sadly) I have no real life (no friends, constant depression etc etc) I'm spending my time writing fan-fictions. And I've written TONS of them.
Anyway, that's my story, glad to have you on the forums!!

It's a shame that places such as SPPf and BMGf are quite intolerant of Misty. Yes, I agree. And all Misty threads in SPPf & BMGf anime section are automatically closing by mods. Like the latest one created two days ago on BMGf. I will say, however, that I don't believe in Pokeshipping. Hmm... Your choice. But I believe in Pokeshipping, because Misty clearly showed that she loves Ash (at least strongly likes). For example episodes Misty Meets Her Match and Gotta Catch Ya Later. I have no real life (no friends, constant depression etc etc) Like me. Except of learning and going to school. I have only Pokemon anime, games, sites and forums.

Its mostly Geodude closing them, he is HIGHLY biased on many things and discussions of Misty happens to be one of them. He will close almost any thread talking about her because he feels that this kind of discussion is "beating a dead horse." A while back I thought that maybe he should block normal users from posting in the forum's Pokemon anime section too because discussing it is beating a dead horse in many ways.

He is biased against them. If "beating a dead horse" is truly the reason why he closes the threads, why doesn't he ever close threads whenever Scott85 ruins them with his talks about Johto? Not to mention the thread he closed fairly recently actually did have very good points about why Misty would be reappearing soon (Why rerun episodes that focused on Misty sometime after she left the show (two of which being Hosos) if they weren't going to have her appear sometime soon in the main show? They could have easily picked episodes that didn't focus on her at all, or had her being minimal focus, at best if they wanted to make it clear that they weren't going to have her make an appearance, at least, but they didn't.)

Misty fans aren't exactly the biggest group of people, so I don't really care why others want her to return, as long as they do. That's true about Disney, by the way. Thanks. Yeah, I'm a member. It actually is a little complicated to publish a fic. You have to login (obviously), go to the publish tab, go down to New Story, agree to the term and conditions, and then basically summarize your fic and upload it from your word processor. It should appear within the hour on the site (they have to make sure you rated it correctly before publishing).

Yeah, I'm pretty old for a Pokemon fan too (senior in high school), and kind of have the same story as you. I lost interest when I was like 11 or 12, but then about eleven months ago (through a weird series of coincidences) found myself completely immersed once more. Would you be able to give me your FF.net profile name or ID? I'd like to see some of your work! (I might already be a fan of yours)

That sounds a bit confusing to read but I guess its one of those things which will get easier with time and practice. But as for that, I suppose Ash fans would be the largest (even though I think he is kind of overrated) with Misty's fans being number two or three in size by comparison. As for love being a major theme I really do think that is true about Disney for a very large part.

EDIT: BTW, I do have an idea to get people interested in terms of joining this site. We could try to find a potential recruit, and then PM them asking them whether they'd like to join our site.

Thanks. I've been on those sites a few times, but never joined either. Anyway, I actually plan on PMing a few people this Sunday (when I upload the next chapter of my fic). Most of my friends on the site are big pokeshippers (which I know you're not a fan of), and I'm positive that they'd love to join this site. You ought to do the same with your friends.

I usually put them on deviant art but my account got suspended almost a year ago and I haven't uploaded any of my new fan-fictions since then. I planned to upload them here but they are far too large.
