Not to mention the thread he closed fairly recently actually did have very good points about why Misty would be reappearing soon (Why rerun episodes that focused on Misty sometime after she left the show (two of which being Hosos) if they weren't going to have her appear sometime soon in the main show? Yes! I just watched Pokemon Sunday and there was Misty in two Togepi episodes. Happy! Yeah. That's a very good thing! Misty has to come back! Sorry for all the exclamation points, I'm just trying to get my mind off of Kengo's traumatizing Signature picture (for those of you who are on the BMGf Misty Club, you know what I'm talking about.). That thing gave me nightmares, honestly.

This is almost guaranteed to piss some of you off. In the new Diamond and Pearl anime intro it is revealed that Dawn gets Togekiss. When I heard about it I was angered even more with the Diamond and Pearl part and now my hatred of it grew even stronger.

When I heard about it I was angered even more with the Diamond and Pearl part and now my hatred of it grew even stronger. Great, now that throws a wrench into the theory about Misty's togetic returning to become Togekiss... (annoyed). Well, at least the theory about a water Pokemon tournament being involved in her inevitable return isn't screwed over yet. BTW Nickstr, that signature of Kengo's really unsettled me. I may tolerate homosexuals, but having two males in bed together (especially Draco and Harry)?! That's just wrong. I've never been this upset over something like this since one of my friends made the mistake of showing me gameplay videos and the intro to a game called "Cho-Aniki" (That game really disturbed me, especially the intro sequence). EDIT: Actually, there has been some theories that it doesn't belong to Dawn. Togekiss, I mean. One fan claimed that Bulbapedia stated that it wasn't hers. I also recalled that the first season opening had Ash, Misty, and Brock riding on a lapras, implying that one of them will capture it during Kanto. However, it took until Orange Islands for Ash to actually capture Lapras. There was also the fact that he was running with an Arcanine in that same opening, even though he never caught one at all. Who knows? the Togetic may just be an opening-only pokemon. However, let's just wait and see, just to be safe.

I was actually quite irritated about the whole Togekiss thing and giving some thought toward giving up with Pokemon after this generation since the current part of the TV show angers me and I seem to be around people who are ultra-obsessed with the current part of it no matter where I go (except here thankfully.)

You're not alone. I'm personally annoyed by the fact that Togekiss is possibly going to Dawn, too. (I'm saying "possibly" since it hasn't really been set in stone that she'll actually get it. I know one of the Battle Frontier openings implied that Jessie would get a Weavile, yet as of now, she has never caught one.). I mean, not only is it making it less likely that Misty is appearing, but there is also the fact that Togekiss is supposed to be a pokemon usually associated with Elite trainers, and Dawn is far from being an "elite" trainer. At least with Ash's Gible, Ash has arguably become somewhat of an elite trainer because of his going through five regions, and beating 1 of the leagues, in addition to becoming the BF champ. Dawn isn't even close to an elite trainer yet, since she hasn't even gone through one Grand Festival yet, never mind won one yet. However, on the plus side, at least they haven't absolutely discounted a Misty appearance yet. We've still got the appearance for a Water Pokemon Tournament to have be disproven or proven, and, should this be a reality, this may also be her biggest appearance due to the fact that it may end up not having her be a Gym Leader anymore.

You know, all is known is that the Togekiss Appeared alongside Dawns Buneary in an INTRO. Think of Misty and that Golduck. etc.

Yeah, I certainly wouldn't discount a Misty appearance yet. I don't think that opening really proves anything except that Togekiss may appear in the next installment of the series. Actually, I'm a little encouraged because I think that it seems to imply her return (I mean, how could Dawn catch a wild Togekiss?). Of course, you never know considering how dumb some of the newer episodes have been.

Of course, the newer episodes have been so dumb that I don't even watch them at all then again the same can be said for Diamond and Pearl as a whole. But even for those who refuse to watch the current part of the show there is some good news it seems in the form of legal streaming versions of original series episodes. Cartoon Network still refuses to air the original series because they don't care about pleasing their viewers but rather pushing 10th rate reality shows. Even fans of the Diamond and Pearl series have been turned against them recently as the show moved to 7 AM permanently starting last November.

I recalled that Ash had an Arcanine running alongside him in the first season opening, and he never caught that pokemon nor did he even show an interest in it. A similar scenario happened in the Battle Frontier opening where Jessie and James were seen with a Weavile and a Mime jr., respectively, and while James did indeed capture a Mime jr., Jessie never caught a Weavile (heck, none of them had captured it, or even befriended it for that matter.).

I was in Texas for this last summer break, and I saw on Cartoon Network that their new slogan was something stupid like "Not just for kids anymore" and that they were bringing in a lot of new real-life shows. I didn't imagine they'd put one of their most popular shows on the backburner though.

There was no way you could have found out about that. It was back in October-November in 2009.
I heard about the live action showings on Cartoon Network, however. FoxTrot (a cartoon strip made by Bill Amend) even referenced this when Jason Fox was complaining about Cartoon Network deciding to put in live-action sitcoms, saying that they shouldn't since it is called "cartoon network." He even compared it to a newstation that doesn't even broadcast news in terms of unbelievability and it being inherently flawed in nature. Right then and there, he turned on the TV to an (implied) news channel where the news anchor is, indeed, using his air time to advertize his newly written book instead of reporting actual news.
There's really only one explaination that could be given for CN doing this, and it's basically to kill it off. I may have been able to wake up at six in the mornings when I was in Austin Elementary School (and no, despite the name, my school wasn't located in Austin, Texas.), but that was mainly on weekdays.

I guess you're right...they're trying to kill it off. I wish that the show had been sold to a station that would respect it as a valuable member of its lineup, rather than some network that contradicts its own namesake in a desperate attempt to increase viewers.

And air older parts of the show on a regular basis too. Cartoon Network really must be trying to kill it off if its at that early a time slot and they are not trying to please the show's ENTIRE fanbase and not just part of it.
