Possible Misty appearance to happen.

Surprised this wasn't mentioned earlier. Man, we really are suffering from a drought.

(Ahem) Anyways, According to someone by the name of Slowkingsley on SPPf, there is apparently going to be a One-hour Special that Misty is going to appear in on April 1st. However, he isn't saying that this is definitely true until he has a more official source backing his claims.

Here are the dates, titles, and the scans.

1st April
DP170 - Misty Again! Manaphy's Secret!!
Misty appearance! Manaphy and Water Phantom King!?

DP171 - Dawn, Togetic and the Shiny Stone!
Misty's Togetic again? Itai Naze?

The thread for SPPf was deleted though, mainly because he needs a more official source. That's not to say it's confirmed to be fake, however. While it is true that April Fools day is on April First, and that Japan does, to a certain extent, celebrate it (there was an article where the Japanese company behind Dragon Warrior pranked its audience into thinking that there would be a new Dragon Warrior game), April 1st is also significant for the Anime because that is also the day the Anime was born. Plus, it's already implied that Dawn is to get a Togekiss by April (since that's when that toy is being released), and Manaphy has not had an appearance in the Anime itself since Movie 9. Who knows, maybe this is what Mayumi Iizuka alluded to three years ago on March the 6th. April 1st is also on a thursday this year, as well.

Although the Movie 13 poster implies otherwise, Misty may end up returning for good this time around.

Sadly, Kasumi closed the board on BMGf. I actually suspect that she isn't even a Misty fan from the start, and actually wants Misty to disappear. I mean, yes, the episode's validity is iffy at best, but it hasn't been outright confirmed to be false yet. Plus, on the Misty club, her reasons for closing the thread were worded in such a manner that made it seem as though she would have closed it anyways, even if there was official word due to Misty being in it.

I locked it because slowkingsley himself said he had doubts. Until there's no official confirmation, I wont believe Kasumi is making an appearance.

She said "Until there's no official confirmation, I wont believe Kasumi is making an appearance." That's quite a strange thing to say if you are a Misty fan, as that implies that you don't want her to return.

Plus, I tried to help you guys bring back Misty by announcing the boycott, and she repaid me by sending me off to the hall of shame where I was tortured as if I was in hell.

Well, that's all the info I have to share with you. Sorry for that rant about Kasumi, BTW.

Some people are thinking this are an April Fools joke (and a very cruel one too) because of the extensive use of Katakana which is used in Japan but for foreign words only. This could be what finally breaks me and it actually did break my spirit and cause me to loose interest in Pokemon and regret returning even for the video games only. Soul Silver could very well be my last game ever because of this because no matter where I go except for here I can't get away from people who obsess over this horribly poor TV series.

Well, sad to say, but it's fake. Grr... Now, I will make sure that Pokemon (at least in terms of the Anime) ends right here and right now (If the league doesn't end up having Ash win both the league and the E4 tourney).

That is why I did not post about this at all, if I hear about anything along these lines I automatically think of it as a rumor or a prank if its close to April 1st. I was foolish enough to get my hopes up but I still regret getting back into this and maybe I should have quit permanently in 2003 but instead let myself get caught up in the new features of the current generation which never were available before and the improved graphics based on what I was used to previously from 8 bit systems. Getting back into Pokemon was one of the worst decisions I have ever made and its best to just quit now than suffer through three or four more years of misery.

Anyway, it was bound to happen, pokemon and April the 1st just don't add up. Any information on Misty's reapperance in the show a few weeks before the April fools day HAS to be a blatant lie. But that doesn't matter anyway, I'm not affected by a few silly pranks made by equally silly people.

Besides, nickstr, you're not even watching the show on a regular basis. What are you complaining about? I should be the one p***ed off right now because I'm a pokeshipper. I have been waiting years for Misty to return while make thousands of fan fictions in the meantime. I am the one who should quit pokemon for good after seeing other shippings gain popularity and spit on other pokeshipping fans. Our forums are dying, we have a small number of followers left... we used to be the biggest shipping in the world and now 8 years after Misty left we're practicaly extinct. And there is nearly no hope that our shipping will ever come true...

But you have less to worry about, I'm sure Misty will come back one day.

It's not the fact that I was pranked that is making me extremely enraged at the writers, it's the fact that they still haven't had Misty make an appearance, never mind have her return to the Show!! I don't know about Nickstr, but speaking from my own experience from a person who hasn't watched much Pokemon, the reason why I'm ticked at Misty not appearing nor returning to the main cast is because of the fact that the writers decided to replace one of the few anime characters who wasn't even like the commonly depicted stereotype of female in the media (Japan, America, or anywhere else.), with a bunch of bimboes. I don't care if they have a bigger role than her, their personalities and weak spirits are still abominations that have already plagued society as a whole. I am extremely angered that females have to be treated like this by the mass media. I mean, if it were up to me, without any moral imput, I'd bomb the mass media out of existance, destroying everything. But, I at least have my moral sense and God preventing me from enacting such an extreme. Unfortunately, thanks to how deeply-engrained this belief is, it seems as though bringing Misty back is the only way that this can even have a chance at being stopped, especially seeing how most kids tend to ignore the old, and now several characters (Like Ariel, or Belle, or Jasmine) have now had their characters ruined with the advent of the Disney Princess franchise.

But you have less to worry about, I'm sure Misty will come back one day.

As much as I don't like being harsh, I have to agree. We do have to do far more than just complain. Complaining about things won't get us anywhere. We have to try and act on putting an end to these portrayals that we hate or are distasteful in order for it to end. I also left the BMGf Misty Club for that same reason, as the members seem to only be talking the talk rather than walking the walk in terms of bringing her back.
