I found this video and, though I know some of you are not Ash X Misty fans, I thought it was still relevant because it shows Misty in the "future" with a child. It was made by the Pokemon artists. You may have already discussed this, but at least read what the publisher wrote about the video in the comments section...I found it quite interesting.

I have seen this. Yes, it's interesting. Original first trailer. I wonder if they will include that in real future ending.

Yeah man. I don't know, but I wish they would! That was a really cool video. I can't believe I hadn't seen it before now (considering all the time I've been on YouTube).

Yup, it's just as it says in the video. Originally, pokemon wasn't supposed to go on for longer than half a year. So that ending probably PROBABLY shows an adult Misty with her daughter... who the father is? No idea, the most likely contender would be Ash.
Of course, pokemon turned out to be a massive hit, just like Star Wars back in the day. So they scrapped the ending and instead began making more episodes ( there are over 600 of them now and originally they planned no more than 82 ).
We don't know what the real ending is going to be, the best thing we can do is speculate. The pokemon anime is said to end in 2 years in the 13th season, but how much of that is true remains to be seen.
