Yeah, so I figured it'd be fun to create a new topic and since I haven't written anything in the manga section...
So please make a choice from the above section and write why below.
My favorite is probably Ono Toshihiro's manga. It follows the anime at first, introducing Ash and his mother. Pikachu pops up differently than the cartoon, as he is not captured by Prof. Oak but is found in the Ketchum home, chewing on cable wires.
Gary is Gary, but he has a sister named May (who is NOT May from Hoenn). Ash has a crush on her, and there are jokes that he likes older women throughout the beginning after he meets Misty, who tracks him for torching her bike. Pikachu takes a quick liking to Misty of course.
There is MAJOR Pokeshipping all over this manga. While Misty laughs at Ash for liking older women, as soon as her sisters watch the two interract, they laugh at her for liking younger men. Let alone the epilogue featuring the hot tub scene... =D
And did I mention the art is faaaabulous? 'Cause it is.
