You're better off joining a larger, more mainstream pokemon forum. This one died more than 5 years ago and has stayed dead ever since. Just one person visits it on a regular basis (nickstr) and 2 more people ( me and pokeria1) log in once in every 3-4 months.
Forums like these are extremely rare these days and ones that still exist are more than likely dead. Even large communities like Bulbagarden seem to be dying off with the passage of time. I've been a part of many other pokemon/AaML/Misty oriented forums and they've all closed eventually.
The interest in pokemon anime is largely gone. The only reason why pokemon is still doing okay is because of the games. If it wasn't for the sales they get from the most recent games pokemon as a whole would be history.

I'd stay at the mainstream ones but they suck (to me.), I'm still going to Bulba but I don't like it.
Regardless of whether it's only me or Nick, I'd sooner choose here than there.

I share your sentiment. There's a lot of trolls/flamers lurking in mainstream forums. People will use any excuse to start an argument and insult you & your beliefs. Especially so if you mention something about pokeshipping or Misty in general. Fans just don't seem to get along for some unexplainable reason.
In its prime, this place was a fabulous forum filled with various discussions. We may not have always agreed with each other, but we were always polite and friendly towards one another. It's a shame that now it is nothing but a mere graveyard, a shell of its former self. But I guess everything has its end.
Sorry for sounding so pessimistic. We are still glad to have you join us! I'll try to check back in more often in case you post something new.

Well, to offset the bad news, I did at least manage to recruit eight-nine Misty Fans at AWA, even supply them email addresses to relay further instructions. I did have to swallow my pride to recruit a transvestite Misty fan, though. Plus, if this year's decorations of the Pikachu car is anything to go by: Misty is the only Pokémon character besides Indigo-era Ash, pre-BW Team Rocket and (obviously) Pikachu to appear among the Pikachu-modeled character representatives of a lot of franchise. Dawn, May, even Iris were not sighted at all. I have photos to prove it. Unfortunately, though, I can't supply them right now as I have to go live on campus very soon (its my final year as a College student, and I promised my parents I'd try out living on campus before I fully graduate for the experience), but I will supply them when given the time.
And I can understand Bulbagarden: that was a very vile place from my recollection: A lot of the Misty fans are bullied even more on that place than others, and even fellow Misty fans are willing to torture their own (I'd know, they did the same to me).

What does AWA stand for?
I can't say I'm too surprised (about the car).
Agreed on Bulba.

What does AWA stand for? I can't say I'm too surprised (about the car). Agreed on Bulba. AWA stands for Anime Weekend Atlanta. It's an annual convention that occurs on every final week of September. True, her being a Pikachu fan would indicate a preference to the Original Series, but I also noticed that there were plushes for some of the regular Generations. Come to think of it, other than Gen V game girl, I don't think I saw ANYONE posing as either Dawn, May, or Iris. And I know what it was like due to my being sent to the Hall of Shame twice, both without my knowledge or consent, and both simply because I was proving myself to be a Misty fan. One of these times was even in the Misty Club on that site.

There's a Hall of Shame? And it's PUBLIC?! I hope I don't end up on there... I've never been to GA before, unfortunately

There used to be but its gone now at least from the public setting on the forum. I never had a post appear there when it was actually being used but hated the fact it existed in the first place. This forum will never have anything like that since all it does is encourage trolling and mockery.

Oh, thank God it's gone.
There must be a very good reason these Pokemon forum sites got hacked a while back: the fanbases.

I don't know why I came back here. I haven't seen this site since I was in high school. I'm 25 years old now. I'm an officer in the Navy. I've been around the world...I've been responsible for people dying. It's 3:23 AM. I don't know why I came back here.
If anyone ever sees this, remember that nothing ever really dies.

It's been quite a while since I've been here myself (and thank you for your service, BTW). If there's one set of good news, though, it's that Misty finally managed to get a truly good return recently with the Kanto Reunion arc, and what's more, we're even promised that she and Brock will visit Alola in the near future. Things may be looking up for us.
