Getting the Word Out?

Well, we all know that this has never been a very big community, and it's grown even smaller when users like chibi stopped coming around. I don't want this place to die off, but I also don't want to see it flooded by people that don't care about Misty. What do you think would be a good way to advertise this forum?

What I've been doing is that I've been using the Misty sig in some other forums I go to with a link to the boards, and whenever I see somebody that's a Misty fan, I tell them about this board. Haven't had much luck with getting people over here, though. It doesn't help that my YouTube account got suspended.

Anybody else have any suggestions, or want to share what they've been doing?

I could do something like that good idea my Youtube account is still active and I have ran across many Misty fans on there so that is one way to get the word out by replying to these comments and having a link to the forum in there.

I like the youtube idea.
I'm also going to try my hardest to get my site and even the forum listed on some sites, because that has seen to work.

Hee hee. I found this site via YouTube, so it's probably the best way to attract Misty fans, but there's always the danger of trolls. Ah well.

I found this site through Youtube as well saw a video that had a link to the main site and I learned about this forum from there.

Yep, that was one of Misty videos. Misty is Alive, the last Misty video I made. I need to make more badly.

at least that is one way and that might have been the video this forum has been a little dead lately. Only a few members are posting but I personally have been trying to post as often as I can and it seems there is a new member just noticed that a little while ago.

Okay, I just got another YouTube account. I reposted that Misty video and included a URL to this site.

EDIT: It's also kind of sad to see people that's not on the forums sign the guestbook. It means they saw the site, but didn't bother coming to the forums.

it is sad I would hate to see this forum die as there are some very interesting threads going now.

I could tell people on my website about it. It's a Misty fan site, so most people that come there are big fans. There are also some people that come and tell me that they hate my site and Misty sucks, so I'll have to watch out for them.

That is a good idea and I think it would work but as mentioned before there is always the risk of trolls. But I guess in promoting these forums that is a risk worth taking.

Yes. Besides, there's always a risk that a Misty hater will see it on waterlil7's website and sign up. But we can't really do anything about that because it's a public website that pretty much anyone can sign up for.

true, and if the situation with a troll gets bad enough they could be banned from the forums and reported. There is always that option but the only problem is that one of the admins has to know about it first and be able to get onto the forums so that the person can be banned and the posts deleted if needed.
