After looking at a few screen shots of the new Diamond and Pearl opening it seems as though Misty appears in it but shows in her Hoenn outfit which was worn on her last appearance in the Mastermind special. This could me a cameo is on the horizon but then again it could also mean nothing but I hope it is the first of the two.

There was a special featuring Mewtwo released direct to video during Johto called Mewtwo Returns. So without a doubt there is hope now more than ever of seeing Misty again during Diamond and Pearl.

Maybe, but I still got a very important proof in my sleeve. In one of the Johto openings Richie was shown, but he never appeared in that season. Now i know for sure that he didn't apear cos I was watching those eppies not so long ago... but then again, how long the anime can go on for without Misty?

Question, is this opening BEFORE Master Quest? I'm asking because if it was the Master Quest opening, then he did most certainly appear as he was in the Whirl Islands Lugia arc.

I am not sure how long the anime can continue considering the number of people unhappy with it today and those who shunned it in recent years. Any show where this is true is going to be in trouble but from what I am seeing the anime could end with this generation and no generation five Pokemon anime will be produced but I am sure that is what quite a few people said toward the end of generation three and yet we have Diamond and Pearl.

And there are plans for Generation five already, which will be followed by yet an another series of pokemon consisting of 50 - 60 episodes. That in turn will ensure that the anime continues in to early 2010s. Everything can be found on Bulbapedia.
And all that makes us ask the question. How long?
Well, yeaaaaars... looong yeaaaars.

Err... other than that mention of "Pokemon will continue for many years to come" from Masamitsu Hidaka (Which I sincerely doubt that he knows what he is talking about, since he never even knew that Pokemon Platinum was being made at that time [and WPM, the guy who did the interview, even mentioned he did legitimately not know that it was even being developed.].), where was it mentioned that there is going to be a Gen V? I mean, they haven't given any hints of Gen V, and they never even unveiled any Gen V pokemon yet (we know that they would have released at least one Gen V pokemon by now, as Munchlax was unveiled in sihlouette shortly after Ruby and Sapphire were released.).

Generation V Pokemon can be found on Bulbapedia. There are also many hints as to what Generation V will introduce. After Generation V, an another one, VI will be expected. I'll give you the link: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Generation_V

I'll give you the link: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Generation_VThat article seemed to be talking about future generations in general and their patterns rather than Gen V. Also, they never really mentioned any Gen V pokemon (by that, I mean the critters, not the [speculatory] games.) It's a moot point anyways, and it's deviating from the topic, so I think we should put it aside (or at least save it for later).
