I think the site needs a tremendous amount of advertising all around, and I'm gonna start doing it now, since I don't (DON'T) wanna see this forum getting killed just as Mistyfans's forum got killed.
no joke. -_-

Me neither, but I am trying everything I can including plugs on other forums. But at most what I can do is have a link in my signature and I did obviously embed an IRC channel into the website the forums are attached to since more people visit that. Who knows, I think it is going to be fun to have an IRC channel dedicated to Misty along with forums. Especially since an Ash dedicated channel on the same network died a while back due to a lack of activity possibly because not enough was done to make it well known.

oh, that's bad. It's pretty awful to see all these websites dedicated to pokemon in general going under. Especially pokeshipping, I mean, nowadays only 1 out of a 100 pokeshipping forums survive, the rest are just zombie places- no activity.
so what IRC client do you use? mIRC?

The client I use is mIRC but another one I would recommend is xChat especially if you are not using Windows. Unfortunately mIRC is Windows only but xChat is also for Linux and MacOS as well (both x86 and PowerPC) even more so there are clients for the Sony Playstation Portable, the Nintendo DS, Apple's iPod Touch, Apple's iPhone, and quite a few other platforms as well. The numbers of sites going down could be because of people loosing interest which is a factor causing the decline of the TV show as well among other things.

Hmmm, yes. Seems like the makers forgot about one thing- their own fans. I think that they're losing followers at a rate faster than they can aquire new ones. Besides, it's never good to lose old veterans. what a shame.

I guess this forum just needs more members, its sad really but we do have a place to congregate and perhaps discuss ways to revive this group among other things. I guess the reason why some Misty fan forums have gone down a bit is one, because the majority of her fans have been alienated from the TV show to the point where joining a general Pokemon forum is unpractical for the most part. And two, because of promotion issues the first one is something which can't be changed by us but the second one is luckily.

3. They cannot have copyrighted stuff in it. The last rule is what prevents me from posting the fanfic in the first place. Heck, it's also preventing me from posting many other fanfics as well. I mean, this fanfic, aside from being Pokemon, also has references to TLM (Ursula was mentioned at one point, and one of the main characters is none other than Ariel), Star Wars (the flashback as to why Amakiani (AKA, Lord Megatron) betrayed Pokeria was based off of Palpatine revealing himself to be Darth Sidious revealing to Anikin Skywalker that he's the sith lord, a third of the fight was derived from the Battle on Mustafar, Ariel's talk to Megatron at the end of the fight was similar to Obi-Wan's talk to Anikin at the end of the duel[/Spoilers]) and Dragon Ball Z (the scene where Ariel and Athena's ghost is trying to repel the energy blast from Megatron was based off of the climax of Broly: Second Coming, and [Spoilers] the final leg of the fight was based off of the climax in Broly: the legendary super saiyan.[/Spoilers]). Basically, I have so many copyrighted material references in there (that I THINK that they won't allow) that I probably would get in trouble twice over. That's why I can't place it on Fanfiction.net. Hmm. I don't think they mind having copyrighted references in it as long as it's obviously a reference and not a blatant plagiarism. I've seen lots of stories with references and nothing happened to them because it was just a part of a story. Heck, I've had stories like that. All you have to do is put a Disclaimer in the beginning and I think it'll be okay.

But, there is also the problem about actually posting the fanfic on there. You see, even though I'm logged onto Fanfiction.net, I can't seem to find a way to actually post my fanfic on there. Do you know how it's supposed to be done?
