Which of Misty's Pokemon that she's ever had have been your favorites? I have many...I love all her Pokemon! Psyduck was great, because it was so funny! Misty always had her moments where it was revealed that she really did care for Psyduck, she just didn't show it all the time. Starmie is probably my favorite ever...I guess it didn't really have much of a personality, but I love Starmie. Staryu is about the same. I loved Ash's quote in response to Misty's concern for Staryu: "How can you tell? It doesn't even have a face!" LOL I loved Poliwag/whirl/toed. All of them were full of personalities that changed with the evolution. Goldeen was a fun Pokemon. I liked it particularly in "Battle Aboard the S.S. Anne." "Her" Golduck was hilarious as well! Right up there with Starmie is Corsola. I was so happy that she got a new Pokemon, and her Corsola was great!!! Which one is [are] your favorite?

I would have to say I am split when it comes to favorites and have a few in different categories. The one I think looks the best is Politoed and I have proven it to be a good battler as well despite what some people have said about it. In terms of strength I would have to go with Starmie since it can actually be frighteningly strong especially when raised in the correct way. Also Goldeen is another one I like despite it being misunderstood and considered weak by some.

All of those are great. Corsola is still one of my favorites - and still quite good in battle!

Wow...now that I think of it, I have may been a Misty fan all these years, I can't say I'm a fan of her Pokemon. Staryu, Starmie, and Goldeen were kind of bland. I never really liked Psyduck because all the miseries it caused her doesn't overcome the delight (a la Princess vs. Princess). And I stopped watching the show by the time she got Poliwag and Corsola. Hmm...I guess I'd have to say Gyarados because it's the one Pokemon I used regularly even before I became a Misty fan. I am starting to train a lot of Misty's other Pokemon, like Staryu/Starmie and Corsola.

To be quite frank, if Misty is bad at something- it's at pokemon. None of her pokemon were really good enough to make it to my fav list, nor Brock's. It was always Ash and his pkmn that were standing out. He had the most powerful/skillful pokemon in the group.
Starmie got whipped by Ash's Pidgeotto, Staryu was always a weak pokemon, Psyduck was kinda pathetic, her "Golduck" was the biggest joke I've ever seen-Politoed was at least funny with all that clapping and "politoed, politoed, politoed..." lol Corsola... meh, nothing special and Gyarados... lol would have still got beaten by Ash's Charizard!
That's just my opinion. xD
PS: OH! and Togepi, a completely useless addition to the team. After that, Misty's character was never the same again. No Mallets, no outbursts of anger... she seemed to be switched off.
Togepic is eeeevil.

To be quite frank, if Misty is bad at something- it's at pokemon. None of her pokemon were really good enough to make it to my fav list, nor Brock's. It was always Ash and his pkmn that were standing out. He had the most powerful/skillful pokemon in the group. Maybe his Kanto team was the most skillful, but I can't quite say the same for his Hoenn team, Johto team, or even his Sinnoh team (In Hoenn's case, they weren't experienced, and their defeating GLs easily only proved that the GLs of that region were weak and JJM esque.) Err, Pidgeotto DIDN'T win against Starmie, since TR interfered. Of course, we still don't really know what the outcome of the battle would have been IF TR didn't interfere. I mean, sure, Starmie was probably hanging by a thread after Pidgeotto used gust, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Ash automatically is going to win the match. If I really must point out, in "Ash catches a Pokemon", when Ash was forced to call upon Caterpie to fight off Team Rocket's Koffing and Ekans (despite the former already having suffered significant injuries at the hands of Pidgeotto, and besides which, was outranked by Koffing and Ekans in every single way from experience to strength), and Caterpie pretty much mummified Ekans and Koffing (and used the latter as a soccer ball), and even mummified Meowth before it even got the chance to attack. Weak? Staryu?! You've got to be kidding me! I mean, seeing how it was considered to be her strongest pokemon, and not to mention that it actually held it's own against Molly Walker's Mantine (what's even more impressive is that, as her pokemon technically don't exist, they are invincible.) As for Psyduck, technically, Ash's pokemon were kinda pathetic, seeing how most of his wins were similar to Psyducks, anyways (as in, they mostly involved deus-ex-machina traits, among other things.). Umm, yeah, Golduck didn't really belong to her (It still won her a match, though.) Is there a reason why you seem to be bashing Misty's pokemon? As for Gyarados, seeing how it kinda helped pin Mewtwo into place (I mean, really, even WITH it's Mirage status deleted by Mew, it still would have probably been very difficult to beat, considering it's source material.) no outbursts of anger... Umm, I watched most of the Pokemon episodes where Misty had togepi, and as far as I could tell, her temper was still very much present. Heck, even IF it was gone, Togepi wouldn't be to blame for that. I mean, she didn't show much outbursts in the "Chansey Operation" episode. On topic: seeing my stance on favorites, I can't say I actually have a favorite.

oh no, I'm not bashing her pokemon- not by a long shot. I'm just expressing my opinion on her pokemon. They always had the expression of... not weak, but maybe slightly less impressive than Ash's pokemon.

I have never found Misty's Pokemon to be unimpressive especially since actually battling with them online and in game as well but then again opinions differ and there is really nothing I can say about that.

Yeah. The writers clearly show favor towards Ash when it comes to having him increase and diversify his collection. They never really seem to let Misty catch more Pokemon at the same rate as Ash, and her range of Pokemon always seemed quite small even when considering only water Pokemon. I mean, she gets Poliwag/Poliwhirl/Politoed and Corsola over the course of Orange Islands and Johto...and that's it. What about Wooper? What about Chinchou? It's like she's there only for her worldly wisdom and not her Pokemon wisdom, and that's a shame. Same thing with Brock, but who cares about him?

Yeah. The writers clearly show favor towards Ash when it comes to having him increase and diversify his collection. Well, I'll agree in regards to his increasing his collection, but as for diversifying, I'm not too positive. I mean, the only types he has mastered are Fire, Water, Grass, and Flying. He hasn't really mastered the Electric type (yes, I know he's used Pikachu a lot of times, but in order to master electric types, he has to use far more than just pikachu on a long-term basis.) or any of the other types (the Bug types are one-shots, going by appearances, so he hasn't mastered those, and he doesn't even own a Dark type, steel type, dragon type, or a psychic type. Heck, even the normal types he has owned [by those, I mean those not affiliated with the flying type] have minimal interaction at best.). Actually, she did try to capture Chinchou (and had it not been for the fact that said Chinchou already had a trainer, she definitely would have been able to capture it.), but, yeah, I see your point. Then again, Ash has decreased his number of capturing pokemon as well.

Well, he cought 30 Tauros at the Safari and has used them in many matches- mainly Tournaments. but I guess the real point is that Ash has cought around 60 pokemon to date- some of them traded away, some left behind and so on... but no other character has even come close to that achievement, and that is what angers me the most.

Starmie is one of my favorites as well and for a good reason. The one I have has been called a monster before and Starmie is one water type which can strike fear in the hearts of competitive battlers because of its high speed and incredible special attack. Corsola, while not being the strongest or fastest is one which is a pleasure for me to use since raising it is quite a challenge but its something which I can do because I have the passion to raise a good Corsola.

I've never seen Starmie as a threat myself [although thats probobaly just my type preference], and Corsala was one of my best pokes in Silver version.
