How did you become a Misty fan?

I just finished that clip, had some time on my hands as this has been a rather boring day. The problem is getting it onto the internet as I don't have a Photo Bucket page or anything else.

true, I could do that but I am not sure about photo hosting services but this is getting a bit off topic. I read the earlier post about Misty returning to the series and I agree, she has been gone too long but it is up to the writers in Japan to bring Misty back into the series and I thought she was forgotten by them until the lure appeared in an episode shown not too long ago. This could mean a return or at least, a cameo is in the near future but looking at what has been happening with the Japanese episodes, I don't think it is likely this was most likely a reference to her as a past character.

it was a good reference but I want to see more than that I actually want to see Misty back on the show again preferably for at least one or two seasons but considering how long she has been gone, a cameo would suffice I guess.

it has been nearly 2 years since Misty's last cameo here in the US. Her last one was in spring 2006 in the Mastermind Of Mirage Pokemon special.

Oh right, that was when the introduced the new voice actors under Pokemon USA. How is Misty's new voice?

Misty's new voice was ok, but I still say Racheal Lills did a better job some of the emotion seemed forced. Unfortunately, Misty did not give any inspirational speeches during that special which I would have like to see because Misty's original VA handled these very well.

This is how I became a Misty fan:
When I was little, I remeber running around the house pretending I was my favorite character, a redheaded girl who was the lengendary Ash's travel mate on a show called pokemon. I would wear my Misty themed outfit(overall shorts and a yellow t-shirt). I had a red hello kitty backpack to keep my pokemon in. The pokemon were just stuffed animals I had. Togepi was a stuffed bunny in half of a plastic eggshell. Horsea was a cookie monster beanie baby. Goldeen was one of those little plastic fish you can get at chucke cheese. My family would buy pokemon videos at used stores and our collection grew large over the years. I would watch them over and over. I loved every single character. But none of the other characters could even compare to how much I loved the redhead, who was named Misty. Now, here I am, years later, with my own Misty website. I still watch the pokemon videos and I still love Misty.

I have to say this certainly is an interesting thread and the answers to the question given have been rather diverse. But in my case I played the games first and started watching the TV show later on the same year.

Well, I became a misty fan because I am a pokeshipper, and naturally, when you're a pokeshipper, you like both ash and misty...

I have heard of some Pokeshippers that are not big fans of Misty but like Ash more. In my case, I am not too much of a Pokeshipper but I like Misty more than any other Pokemon character.

I am not a Pokeshipper because I dislike Ash. I used to like him, but my sister hated Ash with a passion, and I guess she rubbed off on me. That's not necessarily a bad thing because I may have gotten some of my Misty fandom off of her.

It does sound like a good thing then and I never really liked Ash much either but don't hate him. In my case, I did not get my Misty fandom from anyone in my family because I was always the only one in the family who liked Pokemon in the first place. I guess I became a fan after watching The Ghost Of Maiden's Peak on tape a few times and seeing that scene at the end of the summer festival with Misty in the pink yukata with Goldeen on it.
