Ok, I can edit the info to make it more correct.
Edit: sigh, Archaic tried to tell me that they most likely will still sell Hentai/ecchi due to their supporting Shipping related material, and when I tried to tell them that that isn't the case since they had an Age limit restriction on there, and thus is going to ban hentai/ecchi sales anywhere near it, Kasumi said that I don't know what I'm talking about.
She also said this when I tried to tell him that they will most likely have representatives because of my experience at AWA since "American convention =/= Japanese convention", apparantly. However, I would argue that there ARE similarities. Just like how we Americans, for the most part, are not tolerable of the g-marriages (you know what I mean.), the Japanese ALSO feel that they can't allow it. Dogasu even mentioned at one point that Hard Gay's sole reason for existing is to mock them.
Also, there is the common misconception that Japanese fans complain much less than their American counterparts, and when they do complain, it's because of something important. However, considering how the Japanese fans of Beast Wars actually complained to how the Japanese dubbers handled Megatron, I'd say that we are about even in terms of complaints.
If there were similarities between the U.S. and Japan in these examples that I have posted, there can most CERTAINLY be similarities between Anime conventions in america and in Japan.
anyways, that's all for now.

I would love to go to a Misty convention, but it's in Japan and I certainly not be able to go. I hope there will be one in America that's close to my state soon, because I would try my best to make it. But thanx for posting the info ajnrules.

Hmm. I bet it was the line "”N—À‚Ì‚È‚¢‚à‚Ì‚ÉŒÀ‚è‚Ü‚·" that caused the confusion. Yeah, that was a difficult line to translate. ”N—À means age limits, but ‚Ì‚È‚¢ cancels that out, meaning material without age limits, but ŒÀ‚è‚Ü‚· means restricted. I guess restricted isn't the same as an outright ban, so there will probably be some hentai, but only in a restricted area. Sorry for the poor translation thus humiliating yourself.

I would also like to go to a convention like this but I doubt there will be one in the US at anytime. As mentioned before, this convention proves that Misty has not been forgotten by the fans which is a great thing but does it mean that a cameo in the anime is on the horizon? I doubt it but anything could happen. So an accurate thing to say about this is that Misty might be gone but she is not forgotten.

Oh that's cool. I'd really love to go to Japan, but I can't really do that until I'm living alone, now can I.

You might run across exchange student programs in college or universities which allow you to study over seas. There was such a program in the high school I graduated from because the school has an exchange agreement with a school in Hamamatsu Japan which is in the Shizuoka prefecture on the island of Honshu. I did not get involved with this but personally know someone who went to Japan for one quarter.

I read about it and it turned out to be a dojinshi convention which had works focused on Misty rather than being like an American anime convention.
