When I heard about this I really wanted to go since it seemed like a dream come true for me. There were people who bashed this on the other forums but they were mainly May and Dawn fans one especially who said that all the works would be hentai which I am sure was not true.

Somebody said that? geez, that must have been a stiff, mindless fan. Although, there might have been some works relating to hentai, but I'm sure that majority was normal.

I think so to and I bet if this was a May convention that person would have been singing a different tune so to speak while I was almost jumping for joy. And yes I agree that person was mindless and they actually hated Misty from what I had heard earlier.

There you go then. Shall I add that most anti- Misty fans are also anti-pokeshippers? Well, I don't know why they do it and what for, but their resentment towards Misty for no reason is veeeeery verrrrry weird. Maybe they got personality problems :/

Heck, Arcane mind tried to say that it was nothing more than a Doushinji-corner. I mean, Considering what the former Serebiiforums club showed in regards to a Doushinji Pokemon Comic scan (where Misty's bikini top was shred apart, therefore exposing her chest (we only saw the back, don't worry.).), and when trying to research things for my video to bring Misty back and stop the female anime stereotype, I saw some scans on Google images involving Doushinji scans of "LH", and they were even more... err... "explicit" than in the official manga (let us speak no more of it.), how can I NOT attribute Doushinji to Hentai/Ecchi? Also, of note is that, Japan and America, have more things in common than one might think. For example, both countries look down on homosexuality (yes, contrary to popular belief, homosexuality is looked down upon in Japan. Dogasu mentioned that the mere fact that they have a comedy known as Hard Gay proves that Japan's actually homophobic. He even posted a source from wikipedia's article on him saying that he hates having to portray gays in a mocking manner.), both fanbases of certain shows show some intolerance to even the most trivial of things (for example, with us, it's the PUSA voice cast/"removal of characters", for them, it's Megatron from the Japanese dub of Beast wars being made out to be nothing more than a buffoon who squeals like a girl when his character was supposed to be calm, collected, and an evil genious/military commander hybrid.). If we have similarities in regards to these issues, surely we would have similarities in regards to Conventions. Besides, someone from Japan (or at least lives near Japan .) explicitly referred to it as a convention. If it wasn't a convention, I think she would have described it as something else.
Plus, Dogasu and others more directly (and intentionally ) referred to it as a Hentai dealership, which is quite bad. Even IF it was actually a doushinji corner, ALL Anime Conventions are just that, an excuse to make fan-made material and sell it for big bucks (that's what the Anime Weekend Atlanta Annual Anime Convention was, mostly. a doushinju corner, and most conventions are no different, as far as I'm concerned.), which fits the definition of Doushinji corner. An official Anime Convention and a Doushinji Corner doesn't seem any different from each other.

OK, just to ballance this out- Japan and US fought againts each other in the world war two, both sides suffering bigger casualties than all of the countries in Europe at that time, Japan as the only country in WW2 was ready to fight US even though all other countries have surrendered which must mean something, given that their population suffered a lot at the last stages of war. Japan, unlike US, drives on the left side of the road + US as the only country in the WORLD decilined the ratification of the Kyoto protocol which lead to some tentions.
And the ballance is restored. xD
Back on topic, I think, personaly-that the whole hentai thing just doesn't work with pokemon manga or anime. It simply doesn't fit in most cases with the characters, although some hentai seem to be done quite good.
AAAAND, btw, how many Misty conventions have there been altogether?
