Since the game is officially released (in the US), I figure we can discuss it here. UKers like Waterlil7 will have to wait until June 1st but that day will be here before you know it!

Ok, it's been months since its release and even I've gotten a copy (of Diamond) time to ask what y'all think of it?
I think it's ok, but I still prefer the older ones. For one thing because there's no Misty. xP

I still think they should create a game based on Misty.

True that.
Maybe a prequel about her adventures before she became a gym leader? XP

Well her last video game appearance was in FR/LG. And she looked cute too, I hope they bring her back somehow (in game or anime) so she'll have another outfit!

Hopefully Misty will be one of the alternate costumes of the new Pokemon Trainer character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. ^_^

or an appearance as a trophy just like in Smash Brothers Mele. But there is also the Pokemon Orange hack been playing that for a few weeks and I really like it despite the fact that only certain places can be visited and surf is required for most of them.

Heh. Just passed 100 hours on Diamond. Caught most of the legendaries that can be caught without going to any of those Nintendo events. Still mourning the lack of Misty.

impressive it always takes me a while to get 100 hours on a game mainly because I just play them in emulators on a computer and it also makes it possible to easily play hacked games too. Same here mourning the lack of Misty in the anime but that is a little off topic anyway back on topic still playing Pokemon Silver made it to Cerulean City just a little while ago also playing the Pokemon Orange hack still trying to figure out that one but it is worth it because after all you actually get to play as Misty how cool is that!

hmm, seems as though I killed the thread but I recently got Diamond and a Nintendo DS in that game I have finished catching all the Pokemon I needed for a new project, replicating Misty's team! All that is needed is to train the Pokemon and they will be ready for Wifi battles but unfortunately, the only one that will do well against an electric type is Togetic.

Haha, yeah. That's a problem. I guess that's always the problem with specializing in a certain Pokemon type...you'd always have a defensive weakness. :\

that will be a problem but it is worth a try. Their move sets are not all water type moves they do have normal, rock, and even electric type moves. All the Pokemon are over level 45 and have done well during the in game battles and I feel though they are almost ready. The team is made up of the evolved versions of Misty's Pokemon in the case of Golduck and Seaking but she did have both of those Pokemon. Misty did use a Golduck in battle in an Orange Islands episode and caught a Seaking in a contest in Johto. She also caught a Corsola along with a Poliwag that evolved into Poliwhirl and later Politoed toward the end of her time as a main character.

Yeah. I think the important thing is to have a variety of movesets. Unfortunately, most people in the anime that specialize don't seem to follow that rule. :\
